Plastic Cooling Fan

In 1963 USUI successfully developed the world’s first plastic made fan for automobile engine cooling and has been manufacturing the Plastic Cooling Fan since then.

In order to provide a highly efficient plastic cooling fan with more airflow rate and less noise, we have developed a various type of blade configuration adopting airfoil profile and considering aerodynamic characteristic based on our years of experience and proprietary technology. USUI Plastic Cooling Fan has been used not only for automobile engines, but for almost all engines such as construction equipment, agricultural equipment, and general industrial equipment.

Apparently the increasing stringent diesel emission regulations might ask for the higher performance on engine cooling.

USUI is continuously developing higher efficient plastic cooling fans with higher airflow to meet the requirement.

Fuel Rail (UFRID®)

As an approach for reducing fuel evaporative emission, adopting fuel returnless system on gasoline engine vehicles are considerably increased. The system adopted will cause larger fuel pressure pulsation and therefore pulsation dampening should be required on the fuel rail.

As UFRID^® possesses effective self-dampening capability to the pulsation with rail’s own self, unpleasant vehicle interior noise induced by the pulsation could be prevented without pulsation dampener. Due to giving much smaller volume elasticity on the rail than those of fuel, the rail absorbs pulsation energy generated at gasoline injection. Balance of stiffness (i.e. volume elasticity) and strength on the rail is optimized so that we can obtain both the required energy absorption performance and necessary mechanical strength on the rail.

When applying UFRID^® in your system, you should enjoy the reductions of system cost and weight because the pulsation dampener can be eliminated from the system.

High Pressure Fuel Tubes for Gasoline Direct Injection Engine

Technology of Gasoline Direct Injection system is expanding in order to improve efficiency of gasoline engine.
Meanwhile, wide variety of fuels such as ethanol blended fuel is also gradually being distributed.
Our “High Pressure Fuel Tubes for Gasoline Direct Injection” is a stainless steel tube to be used for high pressure gasoline fuel that requires high leak tightness.

USUI also offers Fenikel®-steel tube which have further fuel corrosion resistance, in addition to having higher pressure capability.

Fuel Injection Tube (USIT®)

USIT®-SP is the world’s first tube which was adopted for common rail diesel fuel injection systems among several high-pressure injection tubes. The Common rail fuel injection system plays a very important role in diesel emission control today.

To support the constant advancement of diesel engine technology, USIT®-SP has the world’s highest level withstanding pressure fully utilizing USUI proprietary technologies such as plasticity processing, heat treatments, and smoothing on inner surface. USIT®-SP has a very high level of cleanliness through skillfully applying cleaning techniques that were developed in-house to efficiently remove contaminants on tube surface.

USIT®-SP wins the high regards of auto-manufacturers, and is adopted on more than half of diesel engines in the world that are equipped with common rail.

To deal with stringent diesel emission regulations in the near future, operation pressure of common rail, which is around 200MPa injection pressure currently used, should obviously be increased further in next generation system.

Double Walled Steel Tubing

Double Walled Steel Tubing is a steel tube for pressure piping, which is manufactured from electrolytic copper coated steel strip (both surfaces). The strip is wound into continuous tubular with double-layered wall and then copper brazed in a special furnace using the coated copper as filler metal.

The tube possesses higher withstanding pressure and higher vibration fatigue strength. Furthermore, the tube is also equipped with superior properties such as solderability, brazeability, bendability, and workability in end terminal preparation. As a pressure tubing material with extensive reliability and good processing characteristics, this tube is used for several purposes, such as brake tubing, power steering on vehicles, and many more.

Single Walled Steel Tubing (Hycolin®)

Hycolin^® is an electric resistance welded steel tube specially made, which is manufactured from electrolytic metal-coated steel strip (one surface). The strip is wound into tubular and then welded together on both edges to form continuous strip.

This tube possesses higher withstanding pressure and excellent mechanical properties. And further more, is also equipped with the superior reliability on bending process and end terminal forming process. The tube is applied for several purposes such as fuel pipes and oil pipes on vehicles, tubes for heat exchanger, and pipes for hydraulic piping.
